The Season of Light
As the year draws to a close, many in our 60+ and Wiser community (and some younger) find themselves quietly wondering: What do I really want this season to mean? The holidays have long been filled with traditions of giving, gathering, and often rushing. Yet, beneath the noise, there is a longing for something deeper — to touch again the sacred stillness that once made this time feel magical.
This year, we are being invited to reimagine. To celebrate not only Christmas, but all sacred holidays — Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Solstice, New Year’s — as opportunities to honor the soul rather than the schedule.
Simplicity — Returning to the Essence

Ready to Give and Experience the Light? Located in the center of Brunswick near 303 & 42, YAHAB is a 501c3 organization open to help those who need assistance and to help single moms, the poor, the destitute, etc., with what we have, especially during this time in our world. Valeria and Edwin Long have a vision of hope, and we can participate! Yahab is the Hebrew word meaning "To Give".
Although I contributed clean in perfect condition clothing, I also have and will continue to donate financially as there is no income to this organization without donations for rent and other expenses such as utilities. I will return to YAHAB for my 3rd visit at 6 PM on Friday, November 7th if you are local and wish to join me.
This is not an obligation you need to fill. It is an opportunity to share your Light with others in need.

Before the rush and noise of the holidays arrive, you are invited to a gentle evening of reflection — honoring the deeper meaning of Light in three beautiful traditions that remind us of hope, renewal, and shared humanity.
This will be a warm and quiet and inspirational reflection for the season ahead — shifting emphasis from gift-giving to soul-giving … from busyness to presence … and from obligation back into meaning.
Join me along with my co-presenters Reverend David Byrley and David Hertz as we explore the Common Thread of Light within the Three Traditions.
