Teapots Tip Over ... and ... Class Reminder

“I’m a Little Tea Pot”

You might remember as I do, that song titled: “I’m a Little Tea Pot.”

I’m a little teapot

Short and stout

Here is my handle

Here is my spout

When I get all steamed up

Hear me shout

Tip me over and pour me out.

Well, I guess I became the little teapot at Midnight on Tuesday, April 5. As I stood up to get ready for bed, my left foot slipped, and I literally tipped over onto the ceramic floor breaking the ball joint from my left hip. The bone was healthy; it was just a hard hit.

Yes, there are miracles and the first miracle that night was that with a little stretch of my right arm I was able to touch a phone to dial 911. Three gentlemen paramedics lifted me to the gurney, and off we went to Southwest hospital with injection for pain.

All who assisted me did so in a very loving and effective way, and I was in surgery by 11:00 AM Wednesday morning. At one point now in a hospital room, a nurse came in to move things for an evaluation. And all of a sudden all of my Facebook friends saw the ceiling of my room live (not sure what else!) YIKES! Somehow the button for FaceTime Live was activated and 20 minutes later we discovered it! Embarrassing! Horrifying!

If you saw and heard this, and you were concerned, I just wanted you to know that I am now in Acute Rehabilitation on the fast track program here at Southwest Hospital. I was in no position to ask for prayer, but I heard that many prayed when Facebook went live. It reminds me that there is purpose in all that happens, and I am grateful for your prayers. Be Well!!
