You Must Make Room to Bloom!

What better feeling that to feel that you are blooming, truly blooming!! That’s a good feeling! But what does it take to feel that good? It takes releasing! You can have the full thrill of cleaning out, cleaning up, removing the unwanted, the unneeded and be ready to be ready to bloom full - out sooner than you think! What better time of year than spring to make room for new thoughts and feelings, new freedom and new ways by releasing.

According to Charles Fillmore, co-founder of Unity, “It is just as necessary that one should learn to let to go of thoughts, conditions, and substances in consciousness, body, and affairs, when they have served their purpose and one no longer needs them, as it is that one should lay hold of new ideas and new substances to meet one’s daily requirements.”

Quite frankly it is necessary that you eliminate all that no longer serves or blesses you. That might be the channels of elimination to keep the body open, the channel of the mind that can release old, worn out, negative thoughts and feelings, the channel of your daily to do list, or the material stuff you’ve accumulated. Oh Yes! To accomplish this is work! It takes a commitment to making decisions and taking real action to release.

Just thinking about releasing thoughts, feelings, activities and stuff begins to feel good!

The rewards of releasing include that fresh feeling, the feeling of space, the feeling of being free, the feeling of love, the feeling of being unburdened, the feeling of new opportunities. To be able to let go of that which keeps you from growing and blooming is to become divinely loving of yourself. You are a unique child of God who is worthy of a great life, and only you can set yourself free to bloom right where you are.

Remember, as you are dumping and releasing, trust a higher power, trust that you will bloom and feel the freshness of the season. Trust that things will be better! Offer yourself the opportunity to experience exuberance! How great is that!

So I invite you now, this spring, this April, this week, this day to begin in some small or big way to eliminate! Once you start with a cupboard, a drawer, a closet, a refrigerator, a feeling, an activity that you no longer enjoy, you will feel yourself beginning to bloom! You’ll know what to dump! Just start! Now!

Soon you will be breathing and living that excitement of springing forth new, blooming with joy!

Make room to bloom! Where will you start? As always, I enjoy hearing your experiences! My first step will be the desk in my office! Recycle is calling to me!
